# Contrails.org - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `contrails.org` ## Description Contrails.org is an innovative non-profit organization established in 2025, dedicated to transforming contrail research into climate action. Operating under the Breakthrough Energy platform, the organization aims to tackle the environmental impact of contrails—condensation trails formed from aircraft emissions—responsible for 1-2% of global warming. By re-routing just 5% of flights, up to 80% of contrail-induced warming can be mitigated. Contrails.org collaborates with a network of leading scientists, technologists, policy experts, and industry partners, focusing on three core areas: advancing scientific research to model and predict contrails, developing open-source technologies for real-world applications, and promoting awareness and adoption of contrail avoidance strategies. The organization also provides tools such as the Contrails API, Contrail Map, and Contrail Navigator, offering practical solutions to reduce the aviation industry's climate footprint. With a mission to create scalable and affordable pathways to decrease a major source of global heating, Contrails.org is poised to be a leader in the fight against climate change in aviation. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ - 🏭 Heavy Industry and Engineering ## Links - [linkedin](https://linkedin.com/company/contrails-org) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/iddVGUEfoK/w/100/h/100/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1778118582442) - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/iddVGUEfoK/w/820/h/136/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1778118582352) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Mirage | #161a26 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - var(--font-sans) — asset _(custom)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/iddVGUEfoK/w/400/h/69/idFzfD3jZZ.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1778118582529) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
