## Description

Cooperativa Croce Gialla is a community-focused healthcare and transport cooperative serving Lanciano and the surrounding area in Italy. It provides ordinary medical transport with qualified medical and healthcare personnel, helping people travel safely to care facilities, medical appointments and diagnostic examinations, or return home after hospital stays. The cooperative also supports sporting and other public events by supplying ambulances and trained staff for onsite health assistance.

Working under agreements with the Lanciano-Vasto-Chieti Local Health Authority, Croce Gialla contributes to 118 emergency services, regular transport for dialysis therapy, and the transport of medicines and blood products. It also offers first aid and BLS-D training for non-medical participants, covering basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillator use, alongside ongoing staff training and public awareness courses.

Croce Gialla invites community members to volunteer and supports its work through donations, including Italy’s five-per-thousand tax allocation. Contributions help fund blood and medicine transport, defibrillators, ambulance equipment and additional healthcare vehicles. The cooperative’s work is guided by practical assistance, solidarity and respect for people in need.
