About

Description

The Cooper Institute is a renowned 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper in June 1970.

With a dedicated focus on preventive medicine, our mission is to promote lifelong health and wellness through research and education. We are committed to helping you and your loved ones live well, both now and in the future. At The Cooper Institute, we conduct extensive research and offer a range of programs and initiatives to advocate for exercise and physical activity.

Our world-renowned Cooper Center Longitudinal Study (CCLS) collects data to demonstrate how regular physical activity can prevent chronic diseases. We also have youth initiatives, including FitnessGram, NFL Play60, and the Healthy Zone School Program, which educate children about the importance of exercise to prevent chronic diseases later in life. As we look ahead, we are determined to continue our research efforts to improve memory and brain health, decrease cardiovascular disease and cancer rates, and promote healthy aging.

We also strive to ensure every child across the nation has access to quality physical education and fitness assessments. Join us on this journey to a world where everyone can live long, healthy lives. To learn more, visit our website or subscribe to our email list for the latest updates
