Coral Capital is a venture capital firm focused on seed-stage investments. We invest in entrepreneurs across various industries, from SaaS to nuclear fusion, regardless of the stage of development, ranging from 30 million yen to 500 million yen. Additionally, we have the capacity for follow-on investments of up to 1.5 billion yen. With approximately 35 billion yen under management, we have invested in over 100 startups, including SmartHR, Kakushi, Kyoto Fusioneering, Graffer, hacomono, Kaminashi, and GITAI. Our first fund was launched in partnership with 500 Startups, one of the most active VC firms globally, based in Silicon Valley. While our partnership with 500 Startups has dissolved, we maintain a global investor network, with some of our fund's LPs being part of it. We go beyond funding and operate a highly engaged community of entrepreneurs and employees, as well as the most widely read VC blog in Japan and the largest startup career fair. We believe that truly great companies are built by founders, not investors. The founders we invest in are exceptional individuals who excel even without assistance. Our role is to accelerate their growth by providing support when needed and stepping back when not. We are not just hands-on or hands-off investors, but rather hands-if investors, meaning we are there if our support is required.
