Corazón Community Services is a brand that has been dedicated to serving the community of Cicero since its establishment in 2003. It was founded by Adam Alonso, with a vision to meet the needs of children, youth, and families through a comprehensive set of programs. With a bilingual and bicultural approach, Corazón offers a range of services in the settlement house style.

From its early days, Corazón has focused on after-school youth programming and addressing gang violence through initiatives like Cease Fire, Peace Movement, and Break the Violence programs. In 2006, they acquired the FUERZA Youth Center building, where all their programs and services are now housed. Over the years, Corazón has expanded its offerings to include youth employment opportunities, safety and violence prevention initiatives, and health services such as teen pregnancy prevention and HIV/STI testing and counseling.

Corazón is not only committed to providing essential services but also to empowering the local community by adapting to their evolving needs. Through dedicated leadership, including past Executive Directors Adam Alonso, Mary Johnson, and Edith Anaya Soto, Corazón continues to make a positive impact on the residents of Cicero
