## Description

Cor de Tangerina is a food and hospitality project founded in 2006, built around respect for nature, people and Portugal’s culinary heritage. Led by chefs Álvaro Dinis Mendes and Liliana Duarte, it brings together a mainly ovolacto-vegetarian restaurant, bakery and pastry production, fair-trade shop, and a broad programme of education and events. Its seasonal menus draw on organic ingredients from local producers, combining regional influences with inspiration from around the world. The restaurant offers main meals, personalised tasting experiences and buffet service, and also hosts wine tastings, culinary tours and gastronomic residencies. Cor de Tangerina provides workshops, courses, demonstrations and consultancy covering plant-based cooking, baking, food sustainability, zero-waste practices and more. Its catering and event services include private celebrations, weddings, group meals, coffee breaks and corporate gatherings, at its premises or at external venues. The project’s approach treats food as a way to learn, connect and celebrate. It received recognition in Portugal’s Seven Wonders of New Gastronomy, winning the vegan category with its potato, chanterelle and acorn mille-feuille.
