## Description

Corlann is an inclusive, progressive organisation supporting people with intellectual disabilities, including people who also have autism, across Ireland. Formerly known as Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, Corlann takes its name from the Latin cor, meaning heart, and the Irish lann, meaning place. The name reflects its commitment to creating places of belonging and putting people at the centre of its work.

Each year, Corlann provides services to more than 6,000 people, including adults and children. Its person-centred approach recognises each individual’s strengths, aspirations, rights and life goals. The organisation aims to provide personalised supports that help people lead full and valued lives, participate in their communities, and shape their own futures as equal and active citizens. It also promotes dignity, respect and participation in the cultural, spiritual and religious heritage important to each person.

Funded under Section 38 of the Health Act, Corlann operates across Clare, Limerick, South, South East and West.
