About

Description

Coronado Promenade Concerts (CPC) is a beloved brand that brings the joy of music to Coronado, California. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, CPC has been producing and managing the iconic Spreckels Park summer concert series for over four decades. The history of CPC is rooted in the passion and dedication of individuals like Gene Cech, Coronado High choir teacher, and Mary Carlin King, who joined him as the volunteer head of publicity.

Together, they laid the foundation for the concert series in 1970, which grew from four to 12 concerts under King's coordination. Floyd Ross, who joined King in 1984, played a pivotal role in planning the concerts. In recognition of her civic work, King-Ross earned multiple accolades, including city proclamations, a Rotary community service award, and the Chamber of Commerce's Lewis Hardy Award.

After Mrs. King-Ross's passing in 2000, CPC was founded in 2010 by Floyd Ross to honor her legacy. CPC's mission is to preserve and perpetuate the vibrant musical tradition that she helped establish.

Join CPC at Spreckels Park to experience extraordinary live performances in a picturesque setting. With a strong commitment to bringing the community together through music, CPC is a testament to the power of harmony and celebration
