## Description

Cortea provides purpose-built artificial intelligence agents and software for professional audit and advisory teams. Its platform helps firms automate and improve financial audit, IT audit, internal audit, and advisory work while keeping auditors in control of conclusions and sign-off. Tools support risk analysis and audit planning, disclosure and compliance checks, financial data validation, evidence testing, file requests, and team collaboration. Cortea’s agents review documents, test samples against defined criteria, identify inconsistencies, and help produce traceable audit documentation. The platform is designed around established methodologies and requirements, including ISA (UK) 315, FRC guidance, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Companies Act disclosure rules. Cortea emphasizes transparency, consistency, and professional judgement rather than black-box decisions. Its security approach addresses ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type I standards, UK and EU GDPR, and professional secrecy; client data is not used to train AI models and is kept separate between engagements. The company works with audit firms including Forvis Mazars and dhpg, and offers demonstrations of its platform to prospective users.
