Kaeli Swift, Ph.D., is a passionate ornithologist and wildlife ecologist with a lifelong fascination for birds, particularly crows and other corvids. With a robust academic background, including a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, she dedicated her studies to understanding the complex behaviors of American crows in response to dead crows, employing both field observations and innovative brain imaging techniques. Currently a visiting lecturer at the University of Washington, Dr. Swift teaches various courses in ornithology and wildlife ecology while maintaining a strong commitment to science communication.

Through public speaking engagements, Dr. Swift seeks to bridge the gap between science and society, sharing her insights with audiences ranging from elementary students to seasoned academics. Her work has received recognition from esteemed platforms such as National Geographic and PBS.
