## Description

The Costume Designers Guild (CDG), also known as I.A.T.S.E. Local 892, is a professional union representing costume designers and other costume-industry artists. The Guild advocates for its members and promotes their creative work, professional development, and visibility across film and television. Its community includes costume designers, assistant costume designers, and costume illustrators, whose work helps bring characters and stories to life.

The CDG provides members and industry visitors with practical resources, including a directory of members available for work, profiles, current contracts, design details, industry links, forms, and information about costume houses and studio services. It also supports education and career development through educational materials, events, movie nights, and opportunities to connect with peers and fans. The Guild recognizes achievement through its awards and career honors, and offers information about membership and applications. Its committees and initiatives address issues such as pay equity, diversity, equity and inclusion, and respectful working environments.
