COVID-NMA is an international initiative launched in March 2020, spearheaded by the Centre of Research in Epidemiology and Statistics (METHODS Team) and Cochrane France. Collaborating with esteemed partners including the World Health Organization, Université Paris Cité, Inserm, and several others, COVID-NMA aims to provide a robust evidence ecosystem for informed decision-making regarding COVID-19 treatments and preventive measures.

The initiative is founded on three key pillars: the living mapping of registered trial evidence, the production of systematic reviews to support healthcare decisions, and the evaluation of trial methodologies to enhance research quality. COVID-NMA is committed to producing trustworthy, up-to-date syntheses of high-quality evidence that inform public health strategies and research planning. This collaborative effort pools diverse expertise and resources from around the world, ensuring that responses to COVID-19 challenges are transparent, flexible, and responsive to the needs of stakeholders. Through its comprehensive approach, COVID-NMA is enhancing the value of research and transforming practices in the face of ongoing health crises.
