## Description

Covid Action is a grassroots campaign bringing together individual activists, labour groups and trade union organisations to advocate for a stronger response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and better preparation for future pandemics. The campaign calls on governments across Britain to adopt a “Vaccines Plus” strategy aimed at eliminating community transmission, while addressing the wider health, social and workplace impacts of Covid.

Its work covers issues including Long Covid, support for clinically vulnerable people, vaccine access, NHS and social care funding, safe workplaces, ventilation, testing and pandemic preparedness. Covid Action shares news and analysis, publishes campaign resources and holds monthly online calls and events. Supporters can take part by signing petitions, contacting elected representatives, joining demonstrations, campaigning on social media or attending events. The organisation has also participated in protests connected with the UK Covid Inquiry and helped organise the Together Against Covid conference in 2024.

Covid Action advocates for measures including vaccination and boosters, clean air, safer indoor spaces, free testing and a publicly run test-and-trace system.
