## Description

Portal de Asistencia de Rentas is a brand offering a program designed to provide rental assistance to families in Puerto Rico who are facing difficulties in paying their rent, water, and electricity bills. With just a 15-minute registration process, tenants can apply for financial aid, while landlords can also register to refer their tenants. The program accepts applications until its funds are depleted and does not currently include an extension for utility assistance. Eligibility for the program requires tenants to live in Puerto Rico without any financial interest in the rented property, be at risk of homelessness or have an unstable housing situation, have an income that does not exceed 80% of the area's median income, and demonstrate financial difficulties since April 2020. For inquiries or assistance, individuals can contact Portal de Asistencia de Rentas via email or phone. The program has already helped 72,082 families, paying a total of $213,337,515.18 in debts, including rent, electricity, and water bills. Testimonials from program participants also speak highly of the assistance provided, highlighting a smooth application process and a quick response.
