# Cowries

- **Website:** <https://cowries.de>
- **Primary alias:** `cowries.de`

## Description

The website is the successor to Felix Lorenz’s online sales lists and aims to continue their functionality, quality, and service. Peter now handles customer requests, while Felix remains involved as an advisor.

In addition to offering shells for sale, the site supports the buying and responsible transfer of special cowries and entire shell collections. Felix is interested in acquiring collections for the Molluscan Science Foundation. Sellers can submit photographs and their expected price, or request an offer. The site emphasizes that collections will be placed in responsible hands and preserved for posterity.

cowries.de also provides information for people interested in Cypraeidae, including online articles, cowry photographs, taxonomic information on Cypraea, and descriptions of cowries. Together, its sales and educational materials make the website a resource for shell enthusiasts, collectors, and institutions seeking both specimens and information about these mollusks.
