Description
CPADD, the Centre for Enhancement of Post-Conflict Demining and Pollution Control, was established in Benin in 2003 following the Bamako seminar of 2001. This institution specializes in training individuals in demining techniques, in line with commitments made by African countries under the Ottawa Convention. With support from France, CPADD aims to develop a regional capacity for combating explosive devices, securing munitions depots, and reducing the proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW).

CPADD boasts top-notch educational facilities, accommodation for 72 students, and a dedicated team of 16 Beninese military instructors.
