## Description

The Centre Pilote d'Escalade et d'Alpinisme de Vaulx-en-Velin (CPEAVV) is an climbing club founded in 1987 in Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon. Guided by values of conviviality, welcome and accessibility, it invites people of all abilities and experience levels to discover and enjoy climbing. The club operates three practice spaces, including the 47-metre Tour d'escalade Patrick-BERHAULT, as well as facilities at Gymnase Blondin and an adapted area.

CPEAVV offers scheduled classes and open climbing sessions throughout the week for children, adults and seniors, alongside sport-health activities and adaptive climbing for people with disabilities. Its services extend beyond the club’s walls: participants can join supervised climbing courses, outdoor cliff sessions, via ferrata, snowshoeing and hiking. The organisation also provides training related to climbing and disability, welcomes groups, and offers a mobile climbing wall for events. Through its courses, outings, events and inclusive programming, CPEAVV supports beginners and experienced climbers alike in sharing a passion for climbing and mountaineering.
