About

Description

Cqdg, also known as le Centre québécois de données génomiques, is a renowned platform dedicated to harmonizing and disseminating genomic data generated by clinical studies and research in Quebec. With a primary focus on precision medicine and artificial intelligence, Cqdg serves as an indispensable resource for researchers. Their comprehensive services include a bioinformatics platform for data harmonization, a directory of available genomic data files for research, and a catalog of annotated genomic variants found in the center's datasets.

Cqdg also offers a data portal that allows users to explore, visualize, and analyze the variant catalog and available files online. In addition, the platform provides a high-performance cloud computing environment for data analysis. Inspired by previous projects developed for international initiatives like the International Cancer Genome Consortium and the NCI Genomic Data Commons, Cqdg's platform is world-class.

Rigorously governed and secure, Cqdg ensures that access to its datasets is restricted to researchers who have obtained the necessary ethical authorizations. The platform is hosted on the Secure Cloud of Calcul Québec, adhering to the strictest security standards and norms. By adhering to international standards, such as HL7 FHIR and the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health, Cqdg facilitates collaboration and secure data sharing with other genomic data centers worldwide.

Cqdg is made possible by the financial support of Génome Québec and the collaboration of various partners, including CHU Ste-Justine Research Center, Calcul Québec, McGill University's Center for Genomics and Policy, the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, and the Gabriella Miller Kids First Data Resource Center. If you have genomic data that needs analysis and sharing, Cqdg offers its infrastructure for harmonizing and disseminating your data alongside other datasets hosted by the center. Contact them to learn more.

The launch of the Cqdg portal is scheduled for winter 2023, marking an exciting milestone for this project funded by Génome Québec and led by CHU Sainte-Justine
