## Description

Founded in 1991, Crafts Alive is an award-winning cooperative of more than 40 local artists and makers based in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire. The group brings together designers and craftspeople who live and work in West Wales, creating and selling handmade work through its gallery and shop. Its varied range includes art cards, glasswork, jewellery, metalwork, photography, pottery, textiles, woodwork, and other distinctive items, as well as jam, chutney, and honey. Crafts Alive also shares news about its members and their work, introducing makers and showcasing new pieces, from limited-edition prints to ceramics, sculpture, and dried-flower bouquets. Some artists work in varied techniques and accept commissions. The cooperative is proud to support and stock products from Victoria House Weavery, an organisation in Llangadog that provides accommodation for adults with mild learning difficulties. Visitors can explore the collection at Crafts Alive’s Rhosmaen Street premises, open six days a week with shorter hours on Sundays. The cooperative offers a welcoming showcase for locally made creativity and craftsmanship.
