## Description

CRBio-08, the Regional Council of Biology for Brazil’s 8th Region, is a professional organization serving biologists and registered companies in Bahia, Alagoas, and Sergipe. Based in Salvador, it forms part of the national CFBio/CRBio system and provides information and services related to the professional practice of biology.

The council supports biologists with registration guidance, access to professional services, information on areas of practice, ethics, legislation, fees, and continuing opportunities such as events, courses, agreements, and discounts. Through its CRBio-08 24-hour portal, registered professionals can submit service requests and track their progress. The council also provides services for companies, including information on legal-entity registration, technical responsibility records, fees, and annual dues.

CRBio-08 carries out professional oversight and shares news about institutional activities and biology-related topics. Its website offers a national registry of biologists, a directory of registered biologists and companies, frequently asked questions, transparency information, and resources for biology course coordinators. The council also publishes updates and initiatives through its news and outreach channels.
