## Description

Creative Turku is an architecture and interior design practice based in Nousiainen, Finland. Its work is guided by the principles “healthy home, healthy energy, healthy person,” with a focus on creating welcoming, comfortable buildings that support everyday wellbeing. The practice considers the relationship between the physical environment and people’s mental and structural wellbeing, and values fresh air, year-round comfort, durability, and repairable materials. Its approach embraces both old and new homes, aiming to create places that can serve people across generations.

Creative Turku’s projects include new detached houses and renovations, shaped around each site, its surroundings, and the clients’ needs. Examples include a modern home and separate sauna building in an established courtyard, a new house on a sloping coastal plot in Naantali, and the modernisation of an extension to a traditional Finnish front-line soldier’s house in Yli-Maaria. The practice develops designs through discussion and iterative sketches, taking into account factors such as landscape, sunlight, views, existing trees, and local planning requirements.
