## Description

The Muscogee Creek Nation is dedicated to improving the health of our communities. With headquarters in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, we are the fourth largest federally recognized tribe in the United States, with over 90,000 citizens. Our Department of Health operates community hospitals, a long-term acute care facility, and a physical rehabilitation center, serving both tribal citizens and the general public. To ensure the health of future generations, we also provide dedicated services for citizens of federally recognized tribes and operate Indian health clinics. As one of the largest tribal health systems in Oklahoma, we deliver a wide range of health services across our 11-county reservation, covering an area of 4,811 square miles. Our history dates back to 1977, when we first established the Muscogee Creek Nation Department of Health. Since then, we have expanded our services and facilities to meet the evolving needs of our community. Prior to 2002, we had a contract with the Indian Health Service to provide healthcare services to our citizens. We are committed to the well-being of our community, and we strive to ensure access to quality healthcare for all.
