Crelan is a cooperative bank committed to making a positive impact on society. They have launched Crelan Foundation, which focuses on five areas: education, health, culture, environment, and crowdfunding in sports. Crelan Foundation values the engagement of their 275,000 cooperative shareholders who have invested in CrelanCo cooperative shares.

These shareholders can apply for financial support for socially relevant and sustainable projects. Each year, Crelan Foundation selects and provides financial support to a number of projects. They also strive to involve their employees in this social commitment.

Crelan is dedicated to contributing effectively to society and supports projects that make our society better. These projects fall into three domains: culture and education, health, and the environment. Cooperative shareholders of CrelanCo can submit applications to support projects that meet specific criteria outlined by Crelan Foundation.

The requests are reviewed by the Crelan Foundation Committee, which meets four times a year. Crelan Foundation strives to ensure a balanced distribution of projects across the three domains and geographical regions in Belgium
