# Crescent Cat Rescue - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `crescentcatrescue.org` ## Description Crescent Cat Rescue is a small, independent and humane cat shelter serving the Tendring area from Clacton-on-Sea. Working since 1989 and registered as Crescent Cat Rescue in January 2000, the organisation is run by Carole and a small team of volunteers. Its purpose is to care for lost, abandoned and surrendered cats and kittens, then help each one find a suitable permanent home. The rescue treats every cat as an individual and considers its needs when matching it with a home. Its work includes presenting cats available for adoption and providing information about adoption, fostering and volunteering. Cats stay in dedicated shelter units while awaiting their new homes. The current uPVC pens are designed to be easier to clean than the wooden pens previously used, and clear Perspex fronts help protect the cats from wind and rain. Crescent Cat Rescue relies on volunteers, fundraising and loyal supporters to maintain its care.
