## Description

Crescent City Stage is a professional theatre and nonprofit organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana. It produces contemporary premieres, reimagined classics, and acclaimed plays, including works by Pulitzer Prize-winning writers. Its productions are designed to stay with audiences, encouraging reflection and emotional connection. The company also presents special events such as Bard at the Batture, an outdoor Shakespeare performance on the banks of the Mississippi.

Alongside its theatrical programming, Crescent City Stage offers arts education through classes for youth and adults, helping more people engage with creative work. The organization aims to build a more connected, creatively engaged New Orleans and is committed to paying artists equitably. In its first four years, it reports employing more than 160 artists, reaching over 8,000 audience members, and paying all hired artists at equitable rates.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Crescent City Stage invites community support to sustain its productions, compensate artists, and expand the role of theatre in the city. Its home and contact point is on Magazine Street in New Orleans.
