## Description

Cresset House is a registered nonprofit organisation in Midrand, South Africa, providing a nurturing “home away from home” for adults with intellectual disabilities. It serves people from diverse cultures and nationalities, with a focus on dignity, inclusion, and meaningful participation in community life. Its facilities include residential care and day services in a safe, stimulating environment, as well as workshops and work opportunities for its villagers.

The organisation aims to support residents’ wellbeing through a caring community and practical programmes. Its guiding values include integrity, respect for cultural and religious diversity, and a commitment to environmental sustainability. Cresset House also works to address challenges affecting daily life at the home, including the impact of power outages, while exploring more sustainable solutions.

Community support helps fund the projects and services Cresset House provides. The organisation invites people to donate and take part in fundraising initiatives, including purchasing Casual Day stickers. It also encourages supporters to continue contributing through the MyDifference programme.
