## Description

Cressy Aerodrome is a historic aviation destination in the rural town of Cressy, Victoria, located at 175 Aerodrome Road beside the Hamilton Highway. Built at the start of World War II, the airfield served as a Royal Australian Air Force combat training base until 1946. Today, the site is being brought back to life, combining its wartime heritage with facilities and experiences for aviation enthusiasts and visitors.

The aerodrome offers scenic and commemorative joy flights, giving passengers an aerial view of the former RAAF base, Cressy, and the surrounding lakes, including Lake Corangamite. Its website also lists charter flights and events. For aircraft owners, four newly completed hangars are available to rent, lease, or purchase. Visitors arriving by air or road can also stop at the aerodrome café, which serves food and drinks on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. With its historical setting and visitor offerings, Cressy Aerodrome connects local aviation history with contemporary flying and community hospitality.
