The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is a renowned international biomedical research institute that was established in July 2000. As a non-profit foundation, the CRG is funded by various entities such as the Catalan Government, the Spanish Ministry of Science & Innovation, and the la Caixa Banking Foundation. The CRG's mission is to contribute to society's well-being, public health, and economic prosperity through the discovery and advancement of knowledge.

The CRG focuses on interdisciplinary research, aiming to understand the complexities of life from the genome to the cell to the entire organism and its interactions with the environment. With a unique research model, the CRG recruits group leaders from around the world, providing them with support to establish and manage their research groups. The CRG is part of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), which promotes cutting-edge research in science and technology.

Located within the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), the CRG collaborates with other institutions to create a critical mass of biomedical research. The PRBB aims to become a national and international hub for biomedicine, offering excellent research facilities and high-level training in health and life sciences.
