## Description

CrimConsortium is an international group of institutions and individuals working to make criminology open, accessible, and useful. It supports the free reading, sharing, and reuse of research and educational resources, with the aim of increasing the quantity, quality, and use of open-access work across the field. Its resources include articles, reports, books, teaching materials, and other outputs, and its flagship initiative is CrimRxiv, a global open-access hub and repository where people can share and find criminology papers and related materials.

The consortium also supports CrimRxiv Archive, a periodically updated, decentralized archive on Arweave designed to preserve repository resources independently of any single platform or institution. Its online tools help users explore criminology and criminal-justice faculty, find academic and research job openings, and connect prospective PhD students with potential mentors. A self-assessment tool helps researchers and educators evaluate how open a particular research or teaching output is. Together, these services give criminology communities practical ways to discover, share, preserve, and strengthen open scholarship.
