## Description

Croce Rossa Italiana – Comitato di Salerno is a local branch of the Italian Red Cross, serving the community from its headquarters on Via Roma in Salerno. The organization combines humanitarian assistance, emergency response, health support, training, and opportunities for civic participation. Its activities include emergency transport for patients and support for the 118 emergency service, for which the committee has recruited nurses and driver-rescuers. It also organizes BLS-D courses, teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of defibrillators, including training for local pharmacists. The committee offers Universal Civil Service projects for young people, with positions and programs announced through its website, alongside updates on applications, selections, and graduations. Its site also provides news about committee leadership, elections, institutional activities, and community initiatives. Guided by the principles of the Red Cross, the Salerno committee relies on volunteers and staff to respond to local needs and promote assistance and preparedness. Visitors can find organizational information, notices, training resources, transparency documents, and contact details, including its telephone number and email address.
