The St. Louis Crisis Nursery is a leading child abuse prevention program in the St. Louis region.

With an exceptional track record of 99% of children in their program remaining free from abuse and neglect, they have set national and international standards for child abuse prevention. Originally established as a respite care program, the Nursery has expanded its services to address the needs of the entire family. They offer parent empowerment training, community outreach centers in at-risk communities, programs to address food insecurity, the Latino Outreach Program, and home and field visits.

In 2016, the Nursery opened an Outreach Center in Ferguson, in partnership with St. Peters UCC Church, to maintain a presence in the community after the unrest in the region. Over their 34-year history, they have protected and preserved the childhoods of more than 120,000 children.

Currently, nearly 5,000 children find a safe home at the Nursery while their families navigate life's challenges
