## Description

The Critical Thinking Witch Collective is a welcoming community for witches and seekers who value reason, logic, and science while finding meaning and beauty in mystery. Formed in 2021 under the name SASS Witches, an acronym for science-minded, agnostic or atheist, secular, and skeptical Witches, the group has since changed its name while continuing its original mission. It brings together people who research, apply scientific reasoning, learn from history, and question assumptions and biases in witchcraft and related practices.

The Collective offers opportunities to connect and learn with like-minded people around the world. Its events include a yearly convention and free seasonal weekend mini-conferences known as “witches’ brews.” Online programming includes live meetups and sessions, along with recordings for those who prefer to participate later. Conferences also provide space for social connection and discussion. The community emphasizes inclusion, accessibility, varied perspectives, and participation without pressure. Through its events and online spaces, the Collective supports learning, conversation, and a sense of belonging for people exploring witchcraft with curiosity and a critical-thinking approach.
