## Description

Pubblica Assistenza Croce del Navile OdV is a volunteer-led public assistance association based in Bologna, Italy. Its work focuses on emergency support, patient transport and practical help for people who are older, frail or ill. The association provides a 24-hour ambulance service and arranges medical transport within Italy and abroad, including journeys for appointments, treatments, hospital admissions and discharge. It also offers healthcare assistance at sporting events and other public gatherings.

Alongside its services, Croce del Navile promotes community health and first-aid knowledge. It organizes introductory first-intervention courses for residents, as well as BLSD training covering cardiopulmonary resuscitation, defibrillator use and airway obstruction response. Health-prevention initiatives, including community health events, are also part of its activities.

The association invites residents to support its work by volunteering, donating and contributing through Italy’s 5x1000 tax designation. It is currently raising funds to replace an ambulance that has reached the end of its permitted service in Emilia-Romagna.
