Crooked House is a dynamic theatre-making organization based in Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. Since our establishment in 1993, we have been dedicated to creating impactful theatre and film projects for young people, with young people, and by young people between the ages of 11 and 21. At Crooked House, we believe in the power of drama and creativity to make a positive difference in the lives of young individuals. That's why we offer free training and participation opportunities in drama facilitation for young people aged 21 to 30, as well as support in auditioning for acting college. Our work is driven by values such as tolerance, equality, social justice, compassion, and empathy. With a commitment to providing ambitious and thought-provoking theatre experiences, we ensure that our productions are both aesthetically engaging and relevant to our audiences. As one of Ireland's largest youth theaters, we are proud to run the renowned Kildare Youth Theatre. Additionally, we offer a range of programs including an audition preparation program called Dréimire Project, an international volunteer program, and various bespoke programs in partnership with schools and youth projects. Crooked House is a registered Irish charity and a not-for-profit organization. We collaborate with a diverse network of international partners to design theater-making projects, training courses, and exchanges. Furthermore, we contribute to actor-training universities by delivering masterclasses and programs. We gratefully acknowledge the support and funding we receive from our donors, both through regular, annual core funding and project-specific funding and support.
