## Description

**Brand Description: Memory Without Borders**

Memory Without Borders is a collaborative project dedicated to enhancing access to historical archives between Austria and the Slovak Republic. Operated under the European Territorial Cooperation Programme from February 2012 to June 2014, the initiative aimed to bridge cultural divides by utilizing modern technologies for digitization and public engagement. With a focus on fostering a sense of shared identity and heritage, the project makes significant archival documents available to the public, breaking down barriers created by language and limited access.

Central to its mission is the digital platform, Crossborderarchives, which serves as a repository for valuable documents and historical sources from both nations. By continuing joint digitization efforts and cultural exchanges post-project, Memory Without Borders exemplifies the importance of accessible history in nurturing cross-border relationships. Through workshops, courses, guided tours, and ongoing online resources, the initiative ensures that knowledge of the shared past remains vibrant and freely accessible, paving the way for enriched cultural understanding and cooperation.
