## Description

Crosstie is a software company building connected practice and tax tools for tax firms. Its live Practice product helps firms manage clients, engagements, documents, deadlines, billing and time under their own name, while a client portal collects uploaded documents. Workpapers are included with Practice and provide a trial balance, adjusting, reclassifying and tax entries, and schedules linked to their sources. Practice can be used alongside a firm’s existing tax software; Crosstie says the workpaper is designed to keep preparation and review connected and to flag when it cannot support a number.

Tax, the return-preparation workflow intended to prepare returns from the same workpaper, is in development, and no firm filing date is set. Crosstie also offers separate 5500 software for Forms 5500-EZ and 5500-SF, with filings through EFAST2 planned from January 1, 2027. Other tools include Fixed Assets for asset records and depreciation schedules, Nexus for state filing research and review, and Accounting for a firm’s own books.
