## Description

CatholicRelief is the Lenten program of Catholic Relief Services, the official relief and development agency of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. With CRS Rice Bowl, faith communities in dioceses across the United States put their faith into action through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. This program provides a tool for Catholic families during Lent, a simple cardboard box known as the CRS Rice Bowl, for collecting Lenten alms. The box also includes a Lenten calendar with activities, reflections, and stories to guide families through the 40 days of Lent. Through CRS Rice Bowl, Lenten alms support CRS's work in over 100 countries, making a difference in the lives of those in need. Additionally, 25% of donations stay within the local diocese, specifically aiding hunger and poverty alleviation efforts. Since 1975, CRS Rice Bowl has raised over $320 million. The program also shares inspiring stories and meatless recipes on Fridays during Lent, providing a meaningful and engaging experience for families. CRS Rice Bowl materials are available online for free, making it accessible and easy for everyone to participate. By donating to CRS Rice Bowl, you can change lives this Lent and make a lasting impact.
