## Description

CRV is an early-stage venture capital firm that partners with founders building enterprise and consumer companies. Founded in 1970 and based in the Bay Area, the firm has invested in more than 600 startups, often leading Seed and Series A rounds. Its portfolio includes companies such as DoorDash, Airtable, Patreon, Drift, Iterable, Mercury and Vercel, and more than 80 CRV-backed companies have become publicly traded.

CRV describes its approach as founder-focused rather than driven by patterns or standard playbooks. The firm looks for founders with conviction, deep expertise and distinctive insights, then works alongside them as they build enduring businesses. Its support includes thinking through key company-building decisions, such as hiring, reaching customers and adapting a business as it grows. CRV also shares perspectives on entrepreneurship and technology through conversations, articles and other content featuring founders and investors. With offices in San Francisco and Palo Alto, CRV aims to help early-stage teams turn strong ideas into lasting companies, while recognizing that each company’s path requires its own decisions and approach.
