## Description

The Curragh Sub Aqua Club – Sandycove is a Dublin diving club founded in 1958 and based at 10–11 Sandycove Avenue West in Dún Laoghaire. Located beside the water in a restored Victorian baths, it welcomes both beginners and experienced divers. Members take part in diving, snorkelling and pool training throughout the year, with pool sessions held on Sunday evenings from January until Easter to prepare for open-water activities.

The club maintains two 6.5-metre RIBs, Lir and Danu, which go out in Dublin Bay three times a week during the season and support trips farther afield, including bank holiday weekends. Its clubrooms offer hot showers, a gear-rinsing area, compressors, including Nitrox, a lecture space and a kitchen. Alongside regular training and dives, the club organises dive weekends, social events and other activities. Prospective members can explore its photo gallery, event calendar and blog, which features trip reports and stories from club life. The club encourages people to join and experience diving as part of an active community.
