## Description

CSAEC, the Center for Sustainable Agriculture Excellence and Conservation, is an organization focused on protecting people and the planet through more sustainable farming. It develops and applies best management practices (BMPs) to support current and future farmers, drawing on expertise from seasoned farmers, colleges and universities, and industry professionals. Through education and training, CSAEC helps the public, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and government entities understand how these practices can improve agriculture.

The organization works to empower small and local farms and strengthen the communities they serve. Its efforts address challenges including soil depletion, agricultural water use, food waste, and access to fresh food. CSAEC also promotes Controlled Environment Agriculture to help grow organic food year-round in places where it is needed most. These approaches can allow farmers to cultivate a wider variety of crops, rebuild soil, and reduce water withdrawals.

CSAEC highlights work supporting Mississippi Delta farmers and advancing sustainable farming solutions in U.S. food deserts.
