## Description

Community Safety Building Projects is a Victorian Government organisation responsible for planning, managing and delivering infrastructure that supports the state’s justice system and emergency services. Its work includes new and upgraded prisons, youth justice centres, court and custody facilities, emergency services infrastructure and other public safety projects. The organisation provides end-to-end project management and delivery, bringing together building experts, project managers and construction specialists to create modern, fit-for-purpose facilities intended to help keep Victorians safe.

Its featured projects include the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre, designed with a focus on staff safety and reducing re-offending; the Western Plains Correctional Centre, a new maximum-security facility; and upgrades to the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine. It is also delivering facilities for emergency services across Victoria. Recent work includes the new Wyndham Vale Country Fire Authority station, which provides local volunteers with a modern base to support their community-protection work.
