## Description

The Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation (CS&PF) is the foremost governing body for English Channel swimming, known worldwide for its comprehensive support of both solo and relay attempts. Operating on a not-for-profit basis, this volunteer-managed club grants membership to anyone passionate about long-distance open-water swimming, whether they wish to participate or support the sport. The CS&PF provides critical training resources and guidance for swimmers preparing for Channel crossings, as well as organizing a network of certified pilots and commercial vessels necessary for safe swim attempts.

Additionally, the Federation supervises the registration process with British and French authorities, ensuring each swim is conducted under established English Channel swimming rules. Members can also engage in various open-water training programs, with additional support offered to non-profit swim training groups. As a recognized member of UK Sport and the Sport and Recreation Alliance, the CS&PF is dedicated to promoting the sport, facilitating successful crossings, and fostering a community of swimming enthusiasts.
