Cornerstone Alliance is a non-profit, investor-governed economic development organization focused on increasing employment opportunities, private sector capital investments, and the local tax base in Michigan's Great Southwest. They deliver customer-focused economic development solutions through partnerships, aiming to grow employment opportunities and add to the economic vibrancy of the area. In 2022, Cornerstone Alliance launched a new strategic plan to drive new jobs, business, and investment growth in Berrien County. They are committed to promoting equality and inclusion, actively working to support opportunities for minority entrepreneurship, hiring, and education. Their goals include recruiting companies and developers committed to racial equality, promoting diversity within their staff and board, supporting minority entrepreneurship through microloans, and initiating First Choice tours in Benton Harbor to highlight the city's residential, recreational, and commercial activities.
