## Description

Connecticut Botanical Society Inc is a renowned brand that focuses on the study and conservation of the diverse flora found in Connecticut and its surrounding region. Established in 1903, the society is comprised of both amateur and professional botanists who share a passion for plants and their habitats. The Connecticut Botanical Society aims to increase knowledge of the state's flora, maintain a permanent botanical record, and promote conservation and public awareness of the region's natural heritage. They offer various products and services to achieve these goals. The society organizes informative and educational field trips, led by knowledgeable botanists, throughout the spring and fall seasons. These trips provide an excellent opportunity to learn about wild plants and the diverse ecosystems of Connecticut. Additionally, they hold meetings with illustrated lectures by naturalists or scientists. Connecticut Botanical Society publishes a semi-annual Newsletter featuring botanical articles and news updates. Furthermore, they have established a small grants program for conservation projects and maintain a comprehensive list of the state's wild-growing plants, available for free download. Membership is open to anyone interested in plants, conservation, and natural history. Non-members are welcome to participate in field trips and meetings before joining. The society's archives are held at Connecticut College's Linda Lear Center for Special Collections and Archives. Connect with Connecticut Botanical Society Inc and be a part of their mission to protect and promote Connecticut's rich natural heritage.
