# Connecticut Ornithological Association - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `ctbirding.org` ## Description The Connecticut Ornithological Association (COA) is the premier organization dedicated to the art of birdwatching in Connecticut, founded in 1984. Comprised of over 500 members, ranging from novice birders to seasoned ornithologists, COA plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant birding community statewide. The organization offers a variety of services and programs, including educational workshops, workshops focusing on specific bird identification, and annual events such as the CT Christmas Bird Count. COA publishes two key periodicals, "The Connecticut Warbler" and the "COA Bulletin," which provide valuable insights into local bird species and conservation efforts. Members can also take advantage of grants and research opportunities that promote the study and preservation of Connecticut's avian life. The association collaborates with other conservation organizations to enhance the scientific understanding of local bird habitats. By joining COA, members contribute to a collective effort to safeguard Connecticut's birds and enrich their own birdwatching experiences. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Camping Scouting and Outdoors _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🐶 Pets and Animals - 🐶 Birds _(under Pets and Animals)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/ctbirding) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/ct_birds) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idNHkfdLAm/w/1200/h/156/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1731431896784) - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idNHkfdLAm/w/434/h/434/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1731431896968) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Crete | #6a872d | accent | | Mine Shaft | #222222 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - Verdana — asset _(custom)_ - Verdana — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
