## Description

Capital Theatre on Ice (CTOI) is a Theatre On Ice program representing the Washington Figure Skating Club and affiliated with U.S. Figure Skating. Founded in 2013 at Ashburn Ice House by coach Kitty Kelly McGorry, the organization brings figure skating, theatre, and dance together through team performances and competition. Its skaters range from beginner Learn to Skate USA participants to Preliminary, Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Senior, and Adult levels.

CTOI offers competitive teams that develop and present choreographic exercises and freeskates for local, national, and international competitions. During the 2024–2025 season, its teams earned four national medals. For skaters seeking performance without the same competitive commitment, the Performance Team and seasonal productions welcome a range of ages and abilities. Shows feature complete stories, and teams also perform at community events and benefit programs around the Washington, DC area.

Coaches bring experience in figure skating, ice dance, choreography, acting, and strength training. Through auditions, camps, classes, and performances, CTOI gives skaters opportunities to collaborate, build skills, and share stories on ice.
