## Description

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services and support to patients and their carers. As a leading brand in the healthcare industry, we recognize and value the crucial role played by carers, families, and friends in the wellbeing of our patients. Our aim is to work alongside carers, providing them with the necessary support and advice they need. In recognition of our commitment, our Outpatient Department received the prestigious 'Carer Friendly Award' from the charity Caring Together in 2020. We understand that caring often starts at home, and many individuals may not even consider themselves as carers. That's why we strive to raise awareness and provide information to carers, guiding them to relevant sources of support and guidance. We also promote a caring environment through initiatives such as the Carers' Passport, which allows carers to continue their caring duties while a patient is in the hospital. At Cambridge University Hospitals NHS, we believe in putting patients and their carers at the heart of everything we do, ensuring the best possible outcomes for all.
