## Description

Culpeper Minute Men is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating the history, culture, ancestry, and traditions of the Culpeper Minute Men region in Virginia. It brings together people who value American history and patriotic volunteerism, working with historical and heritage societies, museums, parishes, schools, preservation foundations, polo and hunt clubs, and government agencies at the international, national, state, and local levels.

The organization’s work centers on historical research, public education, and community events. Its website shares the story of the Culpeper Battalion, formed in 1775 as part of Virginia’s militia system, and highlights the people who supported its members, including women, enslaved people, and free Black people. The group also promotes events that connect history with community life, including a Commander-in-Chief military tournament and a 2026 America250 celebration featuring military polo and the USNA Parachute Team. Visitors can explore battalion history, find information about events and tickets, support the nonprofit’s mission through donations, or contact the organization to learn more and get involved.
