## Description

CultFood is a Ukrainian social initiative founded in 2017 by chef and culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko to improve food culture and make healthy eating accessible and appealing. Working with a team and partners, the organization promotes informed food choices through education, research, and changes in schools and other public institutions. Its work includes supporting school meal reform, developing recipe collections and educational materials, and training cooks and educators. A 2024 school recipe collection features 621 dishes, including alternatives for children with lactose- or gluten-related dietary needs; schools may use it as guidance while meeting healthy-eating standards. CultFood also works to modernize professional culinary education and strengthen its role in personal and economic development. To support physical and mental well-being, it runs cooking workshops accompanied by a psychologist for people coping with trauma and challenges related to the war. Another focus is documenting authentic Ukrainian recipes and culinary traditions, preserving them for future generations and promoting Ukrainian cuisine internationally.
