## Description

Stichting Cultuurnacht Houten is a volunteer-led cultural organization that brings an annual evening of arts, music, and community to the Oude Dorp in Houten, Netherlands. Since 2004, it has transformed local venues into a lively cultural route, featuring more than 20 acts across 15 locations. Visitors can enjoy performances and experiences in settings such as the church, Theater aan de Slinger, local businesses, and other village venues. The program spans music, storytelling, theatre, and other cultural performances, with each edition shaped around a new theme. Admission is free, made possible through the efforts of volunteers and support from artists, sponsors, businesses, and the municipality of Houten. The event takes place during the weekend when clocks move from summer to winter time, giving the night an extra hour. Cultuurnacht Houten also invites people to volunteer, suggest venues or collaborations, support the event, or apply to perform. Its aim is to sustain a welcoming local tradition that connects residents through culture and shared experiences.
